Dori said to "Just keep swimming," so that's what I did...

Oh-M-Goodness! If I could put every emotion into one week, this would be the week. I'm not even kidding. We cried, we laughed, we died, we "swam", we sang, we were happy, and we were sad. Everything in one:)

"BREAKING NEWS, 2 SISTER MISSIONARIES STRANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE AMAZON FLORIDA JUNGLE" no im kidding. For starters, I have NEVER seen this much rain in my entire life. This week we had a literal downpour. It was basically raining cats and dogs! I think we had 29 inches of water, and honestly, we probably had more than that. We were heading back home from our tech council, and we got stuck on this one street that was backed up for days because it was flooded! Every time a car would pass us, our car would lift off the ground a little bit because the waves! We were driving through the ocean. It wasn't funny at the moment, but it was funny to look back on, and especially watch all our videos. I found that we got distracted a lot, and ended up praying in the video hahaha. It was so funny, but hey, at least we were turning to the right sources for emotional support. We also had zone conference this week, and it just so happened that our back window was left open the whole time, soooo the rain came rushing in and our whole back seat and carpet was soaked:) yay!

Moving on... So our friend Chigozie... she was supposed to be baptized on Saturday, but didn't because we got a call from her saying that she fell and has to go to the hospital! SATAN! He's the worst. "hate that guy." (name the movie) anyways, our friend Bobby also told us he can't be baptized anymore because he doesn't even believe in God. He's apparently Buddhist, and believes in Heavenly mother. Well Bobby, us too lol.

Oh my goodness, and then we get the most heartbreaking text from Charles! He randomly texted us one morning, and said he can't go to the temple anymore because he is against mormonism and romanism... NOOOO! We were so shocked, and it gets even better. Our phone was broken all week, so we couldn't text him back! He blocked us too:( so let's say it hasn't been the best turn of events this week. One for the books!

Even though things didn't turn out the way I hoped they would this week, there is always a rainbow at the end of a storm... quite literally. We finally reached our friend Kevin that we have been trying to get in contact with for weeks, and the sky was unlike anything I've ever seen! We also had zone conference, and I learned that even when life is hard, just laugh! We have the choice to be happy, and to be peaceful!

This week I was studying a very specific question that I have had, and that others have asked me on my mission a lot!

"Why did Jesus have to die?"

I learned that at the time of the crucifixion, so many prophecies came true, and it was all part of God's plan. "Jesus chose not to be released from this world until He had endured to the end and completed the mission He had been sent to accomplish for mankind." Jesus Christ was so humble, and because of Christ's divine nature, He has the desire to heal our sicknesses, wounds, broken hearts, and minds.

3 Nephi 17:9 says,
"And it came to pass that when he had thus spoken, all the multitude, with one accord, did go forth with their sick and their afflicted, and their lame, and with their blind, and with their dumb, and with all them that were afflicted in any manner; and he did heal them every one as they were brought forth unto him."

When we succor ourselves to the Savior, He unfailingly succors Himself to us and runs to us with open arms! God loves you. Jesus Christ lives. You are a child of God! Have the best week ever!
