We got a ride from a stranger?!?!

WOOHOO!! Another week in the sunshine state! Let me tell ya, this week was miracle filled, but also one of the hardest weeks yet:) in our mission, instead of doing zone conference and interviews with our president on 2 different days, we are doing them on one day now. It was such a long day, but soooo AWESOME! We did roleplay after roleplay, and like Sister Pingree says, "Feedback is a gift." I love President and Sister Pingree! They just know how to make you feel so much better, and zone days just get me pumped up to do missionary work HAHA!  Okay great news!!! On Thursday, we had a pass off lesson with this family that is from Coral Springs, FL and his name is Ramon! We are going to be teaching a family, YAYYYY!! Also, even bigger news... The Gonzalez boys are getting baptized JUNE 5TH!! That's literally on Saturday eek!  Friday: Week is going great so far, right??! Then Friday hit us like a ton of bricks. I found out that my dog Maximus passed away at home during one...

The one where they were quarantined

Oh hey!! Happy Monday again haha! Okay get ready... I have been in Florida for 2 MONTHS!! WHAT?!?! Also, get this, I only have 10 more transfers left for my whole mission! This week was definitely not the same as most weeks haha. All four of us Sisters that live together got sick!! Only one of us survived, and that would be Sister Hardy lol! We all had to quarantine ourselves from Tuesday to Thursday! I think we were going insane, but we had to get covid tests, and luckily, they all came back negative, so we could go out in public now hahaha.  As the week went on, we were able to get our of the house, and we delivered flowers to some of the sweet ladies in our ward! It was so fun to visit, and get to know them more:) Also, it was so flooded in our area on of the days this week!! When we got to the Gonzalez's house for dinner, the boys came running out and the water was to their knees, but they had to come give hugs haha! They are actually the cutest! During my studies this w...

SO MANY MIRACLES!!

Hey ya'll! Im just going to apologize in advance for the long email:) This was such an amazing, and miracle filled week:) there were also lots of things that did not make any sense whatsoever hahaha, but I laugh about it now:) As of today, I have been in Florida for 55 days! I can't even believe it!! The time really is flying by! (I know I literally say that in every email lol so sorry)  On Monday, we played pickle ball for the first time since being out on the mission! Can I just say how much I have missed pickle ball:) we met this cool guy named Chris, and he was kinda scary, not going to lie. He was a pickle ball champion, that's all I'm going to say about that hehe. Later in the week we went over to a family's house in our ward for dinner, and their twin boys started putting stickers all over Sister Mcleod and I! They were the cutest ever and so I kept the stickers obviously lol and then it all took a twist that night because I cut Sister Mcleods hair!! It was...

Flying Pizza

Hello my friends! What a week it has been! The week flew by and it felt like yesterday was my first pday but here we are and I'm on to my second pday! I don't even know where to begin! First, last pday my companion and I are alligator sandwiches! They were surprisingly really good and it tasted like really salty chicken! Kind of different, but now I can check that off the bucket list. Unfortunately, I have not seen a real live alligator, but the amount of lizards around here is insane! Everywhere you look there is a lizard and they run right in front of you when you are walking. I am thinking about keeping one as a pet, but we will see;)  There have been so many miracles this week. One in particular happened on Wednesday! Sister Mcleod and I were driving back from a dinner appointment and before we started driving, we said a prayer to help us find the people that needed to hear our message. We turned down a random street and I looked at the house 525, and I felt prompted to ...

Fever dream

This week was jammed packed let me tell ya. To start things off, on Wednesday, Sister Mcleod and I made 2 pans of scotcharoos to take to families in our ward. If you don't know what scotcharoos are, you are missing our, and you need to google it right now:) They are the most delicious treat EVER!! Anyways, back to reality.  Now from Thursday to Saturday, I felt like I was in a fever dream hahaha. Don't even know why. It went from Cinco De Mayo to the everglades being on fire and ash falling to the sky to seeing a wild alligator to all of us Sisters crying for no reason to seeing an alien spaceship in the sky to sharing the gospel. Oh and to top things off, I walked into the kitchen the other night, and a cockroach scurried out frol under the floor mat and was right by my foot. EWWW NO. Of course I ran screaming, because I absolutely HATE all bugs. And I'm not even joking when I say it was like 2 inches long.  Anyways, this week I read a lot of general conference talks a...

"You go out there and give em' Heaven!"- Dean the temple worker

I'm going go just tell you right now, this is going to be a long email haha this week went by so so fast, and it was jammed packed. On Tuesday, we decided to do our studies at the temple, but when we got there, a guys named Carlos Polo started talking to us, and then the best thing happened. He proceeded to ask us if we wanted to see the new angel Moroni going on top of the temple!!!?!?! We obviously said YES!! I can now confidently say that I have touched the angel Moroni's eyebrow hahaha! It was so cool, and was so huge! After that, Carlos continued to talk for a really really long time, with no breaths lol. I didn't get to say anything the whole time haha.  Another thing, the weather here is so bipolar. It has been pouring on and off every day this week, and let's just say, my hair doesn't want to cooperate with this weather and HEAT! I just need to accept the fact that my hair isn't going to he straight for the next 18 months. I try. And it goes curly ever...
