"Happy Thanksgiving Ya'll!"

Happy Pday friends! I know you hear this from me more than you want, but I LOVE being a missionary! I never want to not be a missionary haha! This week was just full of so many miracles, so let's party!  First, I HIT 9 MONTHS AS A MISSIONARY! Someone please tell me who allowed that to happen?! It wasn't me that's for sure!  Miracle #1: I'm not sure if I've told you all about our friend Maggie that we have been reaching for forever! Basically, she has really bad anxiety and is scared to do a lot of things, like pray, read, come to church! So this week we were talking to her, and she started sending us screenshots of the Book of Mormon! She's been reading on her own, and was sending us pictures of things that stuck out to her and words she didn't understand! And then the best part is that she noticed how much better she has been feeling and how much peace she has now that she can read the Book of Mormon and pray! It was the coolest thing to hear about! The B...

See you at the burgen kin!

Sooo long time, no see haha just kidding; we just talked like 4 or 5 days ago lol, but let me tell ya, it's been a wild 5 days:)  The highlight of the week was going to the temple! As always, the temple gives me the strength I need to keep pushing forward as a missionary! I can't even explain in words how excited I get to go to the temple! I'm like a little 3 year old girl on Christmas morning when she sees a pink bike with sparkles on the handle bars... (yep. I did that as a 3 year old) but anyways, I was jumping up and down when we got the news about going to the temple!  Moving on, on Friday we were having a lesson with one of our recent converts when the topic came up about pets... I said dogs, Sister Peterson said cats, and Lumos (other member) said octopus... he did say that they make great chess players, so I guess that's what we're going to do folks! When you go to the zoo, and see the octopus missing, you never heard anything lol We also met with our rece...

Coming in hot!!

Let me tell you, this week was a rollercoaster to say the least! To put it into perspective, Hurricane Nicole decided to slide in, and our whole zone and the zone above us had to evacuate and move to Fort Lauderdale! So fun right?! Yeah it actually was such a thrill! I've been wanting to evacuate because of a hurricane so badly my whole mission, and now I can finally check it off the bucket list haha (I know it's weird, but that's just how it is :) it really is the little things in life!) Anyways, while we were there, we stayed in a hotel, and boy do I miss queen size beds! Never thought I'd say that, but like I said, it's the little things in life! We also had the opportunity to be recorded for family history ads for Facebook! It was so fun, but kind of scary! It was like filming a TV show, and I messed up A LOT (let's just say I can not say ancestors for the life of me! It's just not possible) side note; I started learning French, and the only things I c...

"SISTERR JEENKIINS"

Guess what?! Still a missionary haha and nothing much has changed!  Big big news though, remember Adam? If you don't that's okay. He was a friend we were teaching in my last area, and he had a lot of struggles with addictions which we were working so hard on! Because I am still living in the same area, but in a different ward, I get to hear about all the people I was teaching before and it's such a blessing! To get back on topic, Adam... got... BAPTIZED!! AAAHHH I was so so excited for him! I'm not even exaggerating when I say that he has had a complete change of heart! He even wore a suit to church! And what's even better, I actually saw him smile! HA it was amazing! It just proves how good God really is and how true the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is! This is Jesus Christ's gospel and it is for everyone no matter where you are at in life:)  Second miracle! On Friday we were going out to find Lovely's house, but all we had was a building n...
