Calls from India, and running up to doors!!

Happy Monday Friends!! Love you all so much, and WOW! This week went by so fast!! I can't believe I have already been in Florida for a month, and I haven't seen an alligator yet! Craziness:))  I think I will always remember this week from my mission for so many reasons. Yesterday after church, my companion and I got a call from this boy we have been teaching some of the lessons to from INDIA!! It was so amazing to see his face, and the second he started talking I couldn't help, but cry! I really could see the light of Christ in his eyes and his desire to come closer to Christ. He had questions about baptism and the priesthood, and at the end of our lesson he said... HE WANTS TO BE BAPTIZED!!! Sister Mcleod and I are going to do everything in our power to find missionaries that could go teach him and help him!! Ugh I just wish he was here! At the end of the lesson, he said the closing prayer, he said how grateful he was for the sisters lesson! I bet you can guess what happ...

The cutest brunch of my life haha!!!

Wow! What a week! To start things off, I can't believe I've been in Florida for 27 days already!! Like how did that even happen?? Sometimes, I will be driving, and all of the sudden I just think, "so am I actually in Florida right now? On a mission? For 18 months?!?!" Time is flying by, but it's so awesome! I love it here, and I honestly love the people even more!  On Monday, we had a cute brunch with ladies from our ward and it was so fun to get to know them better! We had croissants and drank out of tea cups!! I felt like I was barbie and I was dreaming HA! Also, big news, but I solved the rubiks cube in  2:02 !!! I don't know if I mentioned that in my other email, but here I am, telling you again!  I really am so grateful to be a missionary! The spirit is so strong, and I am learning so much about myself! Sister Mcleod and I were OYM'ing and we started a conversation with a guy named John! He was saying how he is lost right now in his life, and so we ...

I cut my own coconut out of a tree!!

This week went by even faster than the last one! I am going to apologize in advance because this email might be longer hehe :)  Okay so one of the weirdest things happened this week... I sang happy 8th month birthday to a lizard named Strawberry. I don't know if I could even elaborate on that because I think it speaks for itself. Kind of crazy, but I guess I can check that off the bucket list. I didn't even know that was on the bucket list, but it is what it is.  To start things off, I went on my very first exchange this week on Wednesday!! It was so fun, but kind of scary in a good way lol I went on exchanges with sister Madrid and she is a Spanish speaking sister, so you know what that means... all of our lessons were in Spanish yay! I couldn't understand half the things that were being said, but there were points that I could follow along and I know that was just the gift of tongues working! It was amazing to be able to feel the spirit during a lesson, even if you co...

"Actually take your time, Jesus is more important"

no surprise here, but I am already sunburnt! It's only been 6 days haha but it was only a matter of time! Anyways, this week was just a Rollercoaster of emotions! I got to Florida on Tuesday and we spent the night in a hotel and the next day I met my companion, Sister Mcloed YAY!! I love her and it turns out she has only been out for 6 weeks so we will both be learning together!  First, we went grocery shopping and then we got straight to work and went OYM'ing! That stands for open your mouth, and basically you just walk around and try to talk to people and give them messages about the gospel and Jesus Christ or whatever you feel prompted to say! It definitely hit me that night that I am actually in the mission field! This is craziness and the day I have been dreaming about my whole life has come!  I have had the opportunity to teach twin boys already and prepare them for baptism! They are 9 years old and they are just the cutest and full of energy! How is it tha...
