6 MONTHS AS A MISSIONARY!

Hi! Guess what?! I have been a missionary for 6 whole months HA! I can't even believe it! I would never go back for anything! I love being a missionary with my whole heart because I get to see the way Christ changes people's lives! Everyone is better with Christ in their lives; I've seen it:)  This will be the quickest email of my life lol  Best part of the week: we got to go to the temple! It's probably my favorite place on Earth. Okay, IT IS my favorite place on Earth. It's where I feel closest to my Savior. It's where I feel the love of Christ for myself and for the people that surround me:) it is perfectly peaceful!  Weirdest part of the week: there was a man that randomly called us and told us he wanted to pray and then started go cry... so precious! Then he told us that the sister missionaries 2 YEARS AGO wanted him to be baptized but he wasn't ready then, but he's ready now!! So we met him and proposed a date to be baptized and his reaction was ...

Busy making eggrolls

Hello everyone!! AAAHHH I had the best week ever, do you want me to tell you about it?! Yes? No? Well, I'm going to do it anyways haha and brace yourselves now, because it might be a long email...  First. Melissa. Remember her? She struggles with some addictions. The worst thing ever happened! So she was on date to be baptized August 27th, but last week we were having a hard time getting in touch with her, so we decided to go to her house. Like you should as a missionary lol. But this was not an LOL moment. When we got there, she was in such a bad place physically and mentally, we had to call  911 ! They took her away and now she is getting help! Which is so amazing:) but it just broke my heart to see her in that state! I think that was one of the biggest moments in my life that I have sincerely loved someone the same way God does. It just makes me think what Heavenly Father thinks when we make mistakes! Obviously, He is always waiting for us to come back to Him:) and t...

God is so good!

I can't even believe how amazing God really is! The miracles that happened this week were unreal! I'm guessing you want to hear, so let me tell you all about it now:)  Okay so we are teaching our friend Melissa! She is so so sweet, and we put her on date!! AAAHHH She has been going through so much in her life! Her boyfriend just died, and she went to thr hospital and so much stuff! Anyways, we taught her the word of wisdom lesson and she said that she is ready to change her life! We asked her how we could help her keep the word of wisdom, and she gave us all of her cigarettes! Like WHAT?!?! So now we have a pack of cigarettes sitting on our kitchen table... it's kind of funny.  Okay, the next crazy thing... we had another baptism on Saturday!! Yep. You heard right. Her name is Bebie! The elders passed her off to us on Wednesday and said she is on date to be baptized in 3 days?! Soooo we pulled together a baptism! I don't know how we did it. It obviously all came from ...

205lb Magic!

Hey! Hi! Hello! Hola! Aloha! I'm back friends! It's been a crazy week, and I'm not entirely sure where to even begin! I'll try my best, but I'm currently scatter-brained haha, so bear with me!  For starters, we were able to see the ocean! AGAIN! My area is literally the ocean, so what can I say, I am so happy:) Also, it was Sister Anderson's Birthday this week, and she is 20!! AAAHHH craziness! We celebrated, of course and went to a surf shop and bought matching tees:) and then we had to get sushi for lunch and sunflowers (it's a must have)  Okay, so every pday, there is a sweet man from the ward that buys us groceries!! So precious right?!?! Right! We pick up the groceries, and sing him a church hymn and then he takes our picture! Haha he's so cute and we love him! A couple days later, we had dinner at a members home, and you will never believe how big their dog was!! He was 205lbs!! I'm not even joking! He was the cutest dog ever, and I guess he...

Boynton is busy busy!!

OMBOOGERS! HI! This week has been absolutely insane and I love love love Boynton Beach! The people, the area, my companion, the weather (sometimes...) where do I even begin?!?!  Let's start with the fact that we have a baptism on Saturday! RICKY! He is so amazing, and is so elect! He has a testimony of this gospel, and you can see the light of Christ shining from every pore! Wow! We showed up to the area, and he was already on date!  Okay here is what happened on Friday! What a day! Because of the area we are in, we share a car with another set of sisters! So you know what that means... biking! Yay! Let's just say, this Florida heat is a killer for sure! We biked 45 minutes to do service for a member, and we spent 2 hours pulling weeds! Loved it so much! Sister Anderson and I were dripping (a pool was definitely filled) haha but for the mems! We then started biking to go dot hopping (which is when you go visit some friends that were being taught in the past) and guess w...
