We got a ride from a stranger?!?!
WOOHOO!! Another week in the sunshine state! Let me tell ya, this week was miracle filled, but also one of the hardest weeks yet:) in our mission, instead of doing zone conference and interviews with our president on 2 different days, we are doing them on one day now. It was such a long day, but soooo AWESOME! We did roleplay after roleplay, and like Sister Pingree says, "Feedback is a gift." I love President and Sister Pingree! They just know how to make you feel so much better, and zone days just get me pumped up to do missionary work HAHA!
Okay great news!!! On Thursday, we had a pass off lesson with this family that is from Coral Springs, FL and his name is Ramon! We are going to be teaching a family, YAYYYY!! Also, even bigger news... The Gonzalez boys are getting baptized JUNE 5TH!! That's literally on Saturday eek!
Friday:
Week is going great so far, right??! Then Friday hit us like a ton of bricks. I found out that my dog Maximus passed away at home during one of our mission Zoom calls:( I of course started crying, and then proceeded to cry sporadically throughout the day! Dogs just become part of your family, and it's so sad! He was my best friend, but now he's my little partner in crime on my mission protecting me wherever we go:) Then, we found out we ran out of miles for our car... but we had a dinner appointment that night. So we drove to our area, which is 30 minutes away, and biked lol. The sun has never been more annoying LOL it was just one thing after another. Sister Mcleod's water bottle dented, then we almost got hit by a car, and then we got pelted with bugs, and then we had to walk our bikes through a foot of thick grass (Florida grass is just different), and then we FINALLY made it to the church yay! Let me just say, biking brings miracles. We met 3 new possible people and we are going back to talk to them more this week!!! Even though Thursday was a little rough, we ended the night with hamburgers and petting goats, horses, and cows:)
Saturday:
Saturday was just another one of those absolutely insane days. We had to ride the bus... we were going to be late for the bus, soooo we had to run. Turns out, the bus was late:) so we sat in the sun. But hey, got a good tan line from it HAHA it took us 3 busses to finally find the right one, and we finally made it to Ramons house!!! We only had to run 2 miles so we weren't late WOOHOO! This is what I've been training for every morning lol then the day continued, and we got yelled at, of course haha and then A MIRACLE! It started pouring rain while we were walking, and a sweet lady pulled up next to us in her jeep and told us to get in and she will give us a ride! As we were getting to know her, she said she had a couple friends that were members of our church, and she had someone she was going to introduce us to! She drove us 30 minutes home and we got her number! She said she was our mom away from home, and if we ever need anything, to call her! I can't believe how sweet and kind she was to pick up 2 random girls on the side of the road! There is good everywhere you go:)
Even though this week was so crazy, it was the best! When one door closes, Heavenly Father makes sure that another one opens! Just seeing the little miracles throughout the week just amazes me.
Love,
Sister Jensen
