"Jesus, take the wheel"

OH MY GOODNESS HI! I love you all so much, and I just wanted to start by saying that:) This week was just full of miracles, and in a roundabout way LOL I'm not really sure how to explain it all, but I'll try my best!!

Soooo I don't know about you, but I think Sister Davis and I broke the record on how fast we can clean our house! We got a text on Thursday saying that they were coming to inspect our house and do clean checks... when I tell you we ran, WE BOLTED! We were so discombobulated haha and we deep cleaned the house in like 15 minutes! And we still had time to spare. It was sparkly clean if I do say so myself lol.

This is kinda crazy... we went to jail this week. Don't worry, it wasn't us in jail. So, we received a referral on Monday, and this lady was requesting to meet with us and so naturally, we set up a time to meet with her. She told us to come on Tuesday and to call her when she got to gate 7... we were like uuuhhh gate 7? We put in her address, and it took us straight to a jail house. We started to piece things together because she said her phone was broken, and the whole thing was weird. We sent her a text, and asked if this was the place she lived, and of course we didn't get a response. HAHAHA it's not funny, but just kinda crazy and a little funny. I really said, "Jesus, take the wheel."

Anyways, I was able to go on exchanges this week and I went to Jupiter! I dont know why, but i felt like I was in the outer banks. It was a vibe HAHA. (you'll see in the pictures) I spent the day going to district council and doing the find and grind:) I also got to go to this pier (it was the river, not the ocean sadly) but it was so so pretty, so you already know I took 5 million pictures haha. And we went to chik-fil-A and on my bag it said, you are the best part of today! I loved that and so I cut it out and kept it. It's a perfect reminder that we are all children of God and that we are always the best part of Heavenly Father's day:)

Okay now for the very best part... OUR FRIEND NICK IS GETTING BAPTIZED!! AAAHHH WAAAHHOOO! Can you tell I am a little excited?!?! Well, I am HA! Okay, calm yourself. Let's break this down. The first time we met nick was 4 weeks ago when we first got to this area, and we haven't been able to meet with him since then. We finally were able to have a lesson with him on Saturday hehe!! I think we talked about a million different things, but it all made sense in a way. I started to bare my testimony about the Atonement and how Heavenly Father knows what's best for us, and he started to cry. Then Sister Davis felt prompted to ask him how he felt about being baptized. Her exact words were, "do you want to get baptized... again?" I know. It's kind of unusual to ask it like that, but it turns out, that was exactly how he needed to hear it. He said yes without any hesitation, and we prayed for a date to get baptized, and it will be JULY 23rd!! LETS GOOO! We invited him to church, and he did come:) and funny coincidence, I was giving a talk in sacrament meeting when he came!! Heavenly Father does work in mysterious ways.

Also, can we talk about how I've only been out on my mission for 4 months, and I have already given 2 talks?!?!?! Yep. I thought I could just slide by, but Heavenly Father said no lol! (Yes, He added the LOL in there too, not me hehe)

Okay, and you already know, it's not a Sister Jensen email, until I tell you what I studied this week:) I have been wanting to study the christlike attribute meekness for such a long time, and now I finally have!! As I was studying a general conference talk, I loved it, of course!! Here are some of my favorite takeaways!
- being meek does not mean weakness, but it does mean behaving with goodness and kindness
- "We are blessed to be born with the seed of meekness in our hearts. We need to understand that it is not possible to grow and develop that seed in a twinkling of an eye but rather through the process of time. Christ asks us to take up our cross daily, meaning that it must be a constant focus and desire."

I loved that whole talk, and you should really read it if you get the chance! It would probably help if I told you the name: Be meek and Lowly of Heart by Ulisses Soares.

If we fail one day, there is no reason we shouldn't get up and succeed on the next day. When we come unto christ, striving to be like Him a little every day, we will one day be perfect in Him. The amazing promise we are given if we humble ourselves before God, is that He will lead us by the hand and we will be able to avoid detours and sadness. Jesus Christ is the GREATEST example of meekness as we know. After all the torture, mocking, and suffering, He turned to His Father and said, "Father forgive them; for they know not what they do." Thanks to His love, it is possible to change!!

Sorry for the long email, but thanks for pushing through it!! Love you all:)

Love,
Sister Jensen
