See you at the burgen kin!

Sooo long time, no see haha just kidding; we just talked like 4 or 5 days ago lol, but let me tell ya, it's been a wild 5 days:)

The highlight of the week was going to the temple! As always, the temple gives me the strength I need to keep pushing forward as a missionary! I can't even explain in words how excited I get to go to the temple! I'm like a little 3 year old girl on Christmas morning when she sees a pink bike with sparkles on the handle bars... (yep. I did that as a 3 year old) but anyways, I was jumping up and down when we got the news about going to the temple!

Moving on, on Friday we were having a lesson with one of our recent converts when the topic came up about pets... I said dogs, Sister Peterson said cats, and Lumos (other member) said octopus... he did say that they make great chess players, so I guess that's what we're going to do folks! When you go to the zoo, and see the octopus missing, you never heard anything lol

We also met with our recent convert Francisco this week and he's the sweetest soul! He's from Chile and only speaks Spanish... he's trying to teach us and we are trying to teach him English lol! He uses Google translate, and here's what one of his texts said: "see you at the burgen kin." ( translates to burger King) oh he's my favorite, and he just wants to understand the scriptures so badly! He has such a dedicated heart and I love it!

A couple other fun things that happened this week:
- we went to the zoo, and saw IGUANAS, MONKEYS, ALBINO ALLIGATORS, FLAMINGOS, A SLOTH, and... A LIGER! just kidding lol we saw a tiger though and it was muy cool!
- we helped a man man move, and he is a musician! He had lots of things that are covered in cat hair and when he picked up the harmonica to play it... all the cat hair and dust went into his mouth and he SWALLOWED IT! *throws up internally* I almost died right then and there lol no jokes
- Sister Peterson almost got hit by the car saving egg rolls on the ground... hahaha
- Sister Peterson also dropped her name tag in the toilet haha and I had to get it out lol

I just wanted to take a moment to talk about the Book of Mormon! IT IS SO POWERFUL! I'm not even kidding! We talked a lot about it this week and we have the book of Mormon today because of the faith of the early saints who defended what they knew to be true! So many miracles happened, and it's evidence of God's love for His children! The Book of Mormon is an invitation to come and make Covenants with God! I've seen how it changes people's lives and solve problems! I know it sounds crazy, and you probably wonder how that's even possible, but "everything is possible if you just believe!" I know it's true! And I love it with my whole heart! It's my very favorite thing, and I feel naked without it! (Quite literally haha) I challenge all of you to really dive into the Book of Mormon, and when you learn something new about Christ, don't keep it to yourself! Share the goodness:)

Love,
