"Happy Thanksgiving Ya'll!"

Happy Pday friends! I know you hear this from me more than you want, but I LOVE being a missionary! I never want to not be a missionary haha! This week was just full of so many miracles, so let's party!

First, I HIT 9 MONTHS AS A MISSIONARY! Someone please tell me who allowed that to happen?! It wasn't me that's for sure!

Miracle #1: I'm not sure if I've told you all about our friend Maggie that we have been reaching for forever! Basically, she has really bad anxiety and is scared to do a lot of things, like pray, read, come to church! So this week we were talking to her, and she started sending us screenshots of the Book of Mormon! She's been reading on her own, and was sending us pictures of things that stuck out to her and words she didn't understand! And then the best part is that she noticed how much better she has been feeling and how much peace she has now that she can read the Book of Mormon and pray! It was the coolest thing to hear about! The Book of Mormon is SO POWERFUL, and it can change your life if you let it; I know it:)

Miracle #2: one of our members, Lumos, was talking to us about his family life and his mission papers and patriarchal blessing! (Background: Hi family has not been supportive of him joining the church... until now) his dad told him randomly this week, "You are doing good things in this church. Keep going." And that was it! Isn't that so awesome!! I KNOW!

Miracle #3: on Thanksgiving, we were able to deliver some (and by some, I mean A LOT lol) cookies to the members of our branch! As the night was coming to an end, we went to our branch president's house last, and when we showed up their Jewish friends were there and we got to meet them and talk for a little bit! As we were ready to leave, President Boggess asked us to share a message, and so we delivered! We showed a video about forgiveness and Thanksgiving, and the whole time I could hear the woman sitting next to me going "ooh, aah" literally haha! But it was cool because the spirit was so strong, and I know it touched them in a way it hadn't before! It's the little seeds we plant in people's lives that help them grow closer to God one step at a time:)

Miracle #4: also on Thanksgiving, we were walking on the sidewalk, and had a feeling to go back and talk to this woman with her dog sitting on the sidewalk! Her name is Aminah and her dogs name is Bubbah:) she makes jewelry and we gave her a picture of Jesus! What was cool about this was that we didn't give her something big physically, but we brightened her day a little, and like I said before, we planted a seed:)

Okay, big news!! I AM TRAINING A NEW MISSIONARY! I am so beyond excited, I can't even explain in words! AAAHHH we are going to party up this YSA!! WOOT WOOT! Also, let me just tell you about this man name Vandersa (aka: Joseph (I guess that's his actual name... long story)) he's an interesting man to say the least! We've had 3 phone lessons with him and 1 lesson in person with our Friend Jordan! Let's just say he asks some interesting questions... for example, "where do you go when you sleep at night?" Umm yeah so he's asked that every time we've talked... EVERY TIME! I was so caught off guard the first time that I couldn't stop laughing (thank goodness it was over the phone) but I didn't know how to answer so this is what I said: "umm well when you sleep, chemicals are released in your brain that cause you to have dreams..." I DONT KNOW! He was asking where our spirit goes, and then says that he can't say anymore because there are people listening... yeah so that was fun lol

Alright, in the spirit of Thanksgiving and CHRISTMAS!!!! I am so grateful for so many things: my family, friends, the earth, nature! Bur most importantly, I am thankful for my Savior Jesus Christ! I love Him, and I know He loves me too! And He loves you! I love this perfect gospel that makes life so simple and happy! I am so thankful to be a missionary, and that I get to teach people about the things I love so much! Also, I am thankful for each and every one of you, and I know Heavenly Father is thankful for you too:) have an amazing week, and remember to count your blessings because there is more than you think:)

Love,
