King Flex Lied...

Alright, so it was an interesting week to say the least! But guess what?! I had my loop day (meaning the days from when I started my mission match up with the days I have left) 😭 now I'm on the downhill slope so that's just great... where do I even begin for the week?! Oh I know, let's start with King Flex...

Okay, so Sister Arlint and I decided to go downtown, and I don't know what was in the air, but there was something and it was making people weird. Let me explain. First, we met this lady Carmela at the Bodega quick stop store:) she was super nice, and just randomly gave us some shell necklaces because we were being nice, but we still had to pay for the $5 parking lol. While we were in the store she insisted on taking a picture of us, and right as we were about to take it, a man walks in with his dog and gives us his dog to be in the picture with us. "Okay now smile really big and say CHEEEESECAAAKEEE." Those were his own words haha he said he was a professional photographer, but let's just say this... he isn't. We looked like our heads were fish bowls... don't ask me how he did it, but he did hahaha

Continuing on, we kept walking and met Santana... Santana was on another planet. More specifically, he was in the matrix (at least that's what he told us) he told us that his cat Carlos needs to be taught Jesus because he's a jerk... haha okay note to self: don't go downtown and try to talk to people at night... they are all drunk:)

Next, a random man wanted to give us money; we said no lol. And then we were about to go home, when we decided that there was one more person we had to talk to! "We could feel it in the air!!" As we walked by the stores, a random man waved us in with our whiteboard and asked us what brings us joy! We said God, and he began to say that he is a God. Okay, not quite. We had him read the introduction of the Book of Mormon, and it seemed like he was believing everything that was in it... he told us his name was King Flex! We made a return appointment, and he asked me if I was ready to go to Jupiter because he was going to take us there... in simple terms, King Flex is the biggest spiritual guru I've ever met. I was getting kind of weird vibes, but we decided to go back and teach him about the Plan of Salvation! We were so excited until we weren't anymore...

We showed up and sat in his little meditation chair and he started to play some music, and immediately I did not feel good at all! I can't really explain it, but my soul was literally hurting so bad I started to cry! (Like it physically hurt) The spirit was not there anymore and when it couldn't get any worse he pulled out the gospel of Jesus Christ pamphlet we gave him and started yell/reading it to us! He came up and asked me if I could feel the spirit in the room, and I flat out told him no, how could it be when you are blasting loud music into my ears. I looked at Sister Arlint, and I could tell she felt what I was feeling, so we got up and walked out! Never do I ever want to experience that again! He most definitely did not take us to Jupiter.

Okay, but on a happier note, here are some of the amazing things that happened this week:
- we went to PBSC and ended up getting 13 numbers!! AAAHHH miracles! God is good!
- we got to decorate a Christmas tree! It was the best feeling ever! It's the little things in life haha
- we met with one of our friends Justin at a Botanical garden (that we couldn't go into because it costed $15, and we are broke, so we sat on the grass outside of the garden😂) but he's reading from the Book of Mormon, and he's just ELECT! LOVE HIM!

Sometimes it's hard to see why God gives you certain promptings and thoughts! I've learned this week that because I am a child of God, and I have Christ's light in my body, the first thought that comes to my mind is from God! If it's good, then it's from God! I don't know if that made any sense, but I know God wants His children to grow because He loves us! He loves you specifically! He gives us opportunities to grow, but He knows we can't do it alone, and that's why we have a Savior! That's why we have eachother! I want to challenge all of you to do something for someone else this week! Everyone has a story, and it's our job to love and share light with those who don't know where to find it!

Love,
Sister Jensen
