Collin's Girls!!
Back at it again! Alright, so many of you will be happy because this will probably be the shortest email ever!
To start it all off, both Sister Arlint and I were dying this week for many reasons haha! We were sick, but the work still goes on! The biggest miracle of the week (it may sound small to you, but it's huge for us!) was when our friend Ivan said the prayer at church! Every time we have met up with him, we ask him to say the prayer, and he always says no and that he will pray when he's ready... but HE DID IT! We were so excited! It's the little things in life you know?!
Well anyways, let me explain my email title... Collin's girls! As I've said many times before, we went downtown in delray to say hi to all of our friends, and Collin was there! He was a man we met the first week of the transfer and he doesn't believe in religion, and is spiritual. Well this time we showed up and the first thing he says is, "IT'S MY GIRLS!!" So now we are Collin's girls haha! He was so excited to see us, and he gave us some free drinks to take with us on the road! And when you think it doesn't get better... it does! His friend Stanley came into the store, and Collin introduced us as "his sisters" and told him that we are missionaries for the church and we go around help people find hope in Jesus Christ by reading the word! (He got that one spot on) Stanley was so nice that he took us back to his fancy hotel that he works at and let us go to the roof to look out and it was beautiful! It was just miracle after miracle:)
Alright, and the hardest part of the week was while talking to one of our members Starlia! Boy, she had so many questions!! And like the deep doctrine questions that need scriptural proof... if you know, you know. Well Sister Arlint and I had a system going where one of us would talk to her and ask her questions about the topic she was thinking about, while the other one searched the deep gospel library web to find a scripture haha literally the most stressful part of my life! And then we just came to the fact that we don't know everything, and we challenged her to read the Book of Mormon because that is where every question can be answered!
Also, so sorry I lied to you about this being a short email... sometimes my fingers just get going, and the thoughts start rolling hahaha!
I truly love how simple the gospel is! I love that we can have any question answered by reading the scriptures! I know that we communicate to God through prayer, and He communicates with us through the scriptures! There are so many amazing things we can learn in the scriptures! As I was listening to one of the talks this last Sunday, one of the speakers said "Christ found me worthy of His blood." That saying stuck out to me so much because Christ really did die on the Cross and suffer all things because He LOVES us! Each one of us! I know He lives, and I'm grateful to have Him as my Savior, Friend, Brother, Examplar, and Redeemer!
Love,
Sister Jensen
