Justin is... BAPTIZED!!!
Anotha week anotha spiritual dolla:) hello again, and welcome back! This week was crazy in its own way haha it all started with us literally eating cake on the ocean (10 goldfish for whoever knows the song) Anyways, we had dinner at someone's house, and they live in this condo right on the ocean, and so while we ate, we got to hear all the waves! Aaahhh I love it! Okay, this week was wild, so just bare with me as I try to put down all my scatter brain thoughts into an email:)
So we finally started teaching another girl! Let's gooo! Her name is Zoe and she brought along her boyfriend TJ to FHE and we were able to talk to both of them! It was awesome, and the best part about it is is that Zoe is our member Jordan's sister! I don't know if that made sense, but just go with it:) and if I recall, the next day we are dinner with our member Zach and his family, and kindly their dogs, Rex and Shay, welcomed us into their home by jumping on us and slobbering all over us:) it was great:) Rex literally knocked me over, and they had to catch me from falling backwards! It was pretty funny... you had to be there!
I don't know if I've talked about it before, but wvery week our mission gets on a zoom call for a mission devotional, and this week the main theme of it all was talking about comparison and that it is the thief of joy. I learned that perfectionism and comparison are two of Satan's greatest tools to discourage and distract us. I also learned that we should seek after the best gifts, and if we ask and seek for them, God will shape us into a great leader:) there really is so much beauty in uniqueness, and always remember how He looks at you individually!
Kind of going off of that topic, there is this guy we are teaching, Austin. Austin is probably the smartest person on the planet, and he's just built different! Every time a word comes out of his mouth, this is what I say in my brain: "is that even a word?" So yeah, I don't really understand him a lot of the time, bur hey! God created everyone perfectly, and He doesn't make mistakes! The only one that needs to understand him is God:) we taught him about the Plan of Salvation this week, and I know the spirit was carrying the lesson because I don't remember a single thing I said, or a single thing he said, but it felt good! The spirit is amazing!
Now that I've mentioned the spirit, here's the best part of the week... drumroll please... JUSTIN GOT BAPTIZED! WAAAHHOOOOO! I can't even believe it! And he now has the gift ofbthe Holy Ghost! I love love love baptisms and being able to feel the spirit so strongly as I watch someone take the first step towards Christ, and becoming more like Him! I am so grateful for the constant companionship of the Spirit, and it truly is one of the greatest gifts God has ever given me:)
There are so many more things I could say, but I'll stop there! I love you all, and remember that God loves you too!
Love,
Sister Jensen
