Napoleon once said "I love technology."
Oh my goodness! It was quite the week! So, I'm not sure if I mentioned in my last email, but starting this transfer I am one of the social media specialists in our mission! I really didn't know what I was getting myself into, but this week was so hectic! I LOVE IT! My first day, we headed straight to the temple to record the testimonies of the missionaries going home! It was so sad! And then we have had project after project this week with SOOOO many meetings! Oh my goodness! Whew! I almost died! Haha just kidding... but actually! The most pooped I've felt yet! At least I get to do the two things I love: share the gospel, and do photography!
So as many of you know, I'm back with Sister McLeod and it's a party in a half! Seriously! Our very first day we got sung to by a man named Karl! We were filling up our car with gas and he comes up to us asking us for money so he could make it to the school to teach kids music! He offered to sing us "You can tell everybody" in exchange for cash! Well knowing us... we said yes:) he was actually surprisingly good at singing! So naturally we got his number! And then we enjoyed the night by having a toast lit pizza dinner! (There's nothing more I need to say about that)
So another highlight was it was Sister Palmer's Birthday!!! Woot woot! Sister McLeod and I sat in our closet and blew up 5 billion balloons at 10pm! It was a core memory for sure! And then the best wake up call ever! We blasted Good Day over the speaker at 6:30am! I have never been that awake in my life! I was trying so hard to have energy that early in the morning! Let's just say I'm not a morning person:)
Okay, this email is getting a little long, so I'm just going to sum some things up in bullet points:)
- we got cussed out on the phone on the first contact:) good times!
- we started teaching this super cool man Joseph and yep! We've only met up with him once, so I dont have much to say about him yet, but good things are coming! I can feel it in the air!
- I also attended my very first MLC and it was awesome! We talked a lot about what it means to be a good leader and I've learned that the best leader is the one that always shows charity and is non-judgmental!
At church we were talking about the Atonement of Jesus Christ and there was an analogy made by one of the ladies! She said that putting on a jacket in a storm doesn't change the storm, it adds protection! It's the same with the covenants we make! The holy Ghost doesn't take the trials away, but allows us to get through them easier with more knowledge and comfort!
Now go out there and kill it! Love you all:)
Love,
Sister Jensen
