18th floor, last door...

🫶Hola!! You already know what I'm about to say... this week was craziness, so let's just get into it:) I'm going to just give bullet points because there is just way too much to talk about. 🫶

- I finally made it to Miami! We had to give a training at a zone conference about interactions again, and let me just say this, the people in Miami just hit different haha. There's so much going on down there. It was probably the best training we've done yet, and theyvwere hyping us up while I "hit" sister Mcleod with a bow and arrow. I really tried, but I missed all of the ones I was supposed to hit her with! Oh well.
- one of the 9 year Olds in our ward came up to us, and said "I'm going to be a missionary one day." And it was the cutest thing! She tried on our name tags! Love her!
- I tried Boboa for the first time...(don't know how to spell it) but the tapioca ball things at the bottom are not my favorite.
- Sister Mcleod and I have decided that we are going to sell everything we own, and just have nothing. Let me give you the back story. We were helping someone in our ward move this week, and there was so much stuff! I just want to buy a van and travel the world with the things that will fit in a van haha!
- we went to go visit some of the people our bishop suggested for us to go see this week! Well, one of the addresses led us to a HUGE apartment building right on the ocean! So we are driving up and find out that it's valet parking only... the security guard says, "YOU HAVE 10 MINUTES FOR FREE, OTHERWISE, TICKET AND PAY!" Sister Mcleod and I look at eachother, set our timer, and start booking it to the elevator! We go all the way up to the 18th floor, and are running the hallways like crazy people trying to find the apartment number! This place literally felt like we were on a cruise ship. The people watching through the peep holes in their doors definitely got a laugh out of us. I would laugh at us:) Anyways, we get to the door number, and then it hits us. The apartment says 1801S, and we are supposed to be at 1801N! We look at eachother, and then start sprinting to the elevator again, and our alarm goes off. I felt like I was in a mystery movie or something! We get down to the main floor, run across the lobby to the other elevator and up to the 18th floor we go! Well long story short, we foujd the door, and no one answered. But hey! It was a fun little adventure that's for sure!
- OH there's my belly dancing outfit. OH that my shawl that's almost done."(her sister goes"That doesn't look almost done").
- Sang with Moses in the park with our ukuleles and guitars! He was A LEGEND!
- had a BBQ with our district, and Sister Mcleod and I bought a BBQ... yes. You heard that one right. It was only $20, so you know it's good.
- We came up with a pretty epic analogy for memorizing Isaiah 58:13-14. "Isaiah 58, church is great. 13-14 though, get that eternal dough".
- We had an incredible lesson with Charles soon after where he felt the sprit so strong he was in tears. He said he FINISHED THE BOOK OF 2ND NEPHI! HE'S LITERALLY A LEGEND. Then, to celebrate we also ate a homeade banana split by yours truly, Sister Mcleod!!
- we had back to back meetings ALL day Saturday! 6 meetings! Oh boy.
- we started filming a video for the Creole page on Facebook! ITS GOING TO BE SOOO GOOD!
- so we started teaching this person Yesenia, and her 15 year old son Kevin! There are no words ro describe what happened when we first met them. Their dad got killed 6 months ago, something about the Russian Roulette, evil yoga, and there's a lot more, but that's all I can think of currently. Sister Mcleod and I testified so boldly about the gospel, and how it will make the biggest difference in their life! At the end of our lesson, they played their warrior song, and started singing to eachother across the table... it was kind of awkward, and we felt like therapists most of the time:)
- Reginald... "you aren't going to teach me anything. I'm 71 years old! I already know everything." It's just my favorite thing when people wave at me to stop talking in the middle of a sentence. I'm kidding. I'm just trying to help you. That's all:)
- We got a referral from this kid named Zach! We went to go see him, and the first thijg he said was that he wants to be baptized, and wabts to start meeting with us, so he can prepare! Like WHAT?! That literally never happens! So many miracles!

This week at church was probably one of my favorite Sundays! Let me tell you why! One of the talks was about trusting in God! I'm just going to write down some of the notes I took!
- God will teach us how to swim when we don't know how, or when we dont have a boat to get into and feel alone.
- the hope we have can bring miracles when we hope for the right thing.
- whoever God calls, He qualifies.

I love that message. The same God that performed all those miracles in the past such as, parting the red sea, guiding Lehi and his family across the world, guiding the Saints across the America's, is the same God that performs miracles today! When we put our full trust in the Lord, we gain access to God's power! Doesn't that just sound like the best thing ever? We are God's literal sons and daughters and He wants nothing more than to see us again, and especially see us happy! We just need to continue doing the things that made us feel of that joy in the past.

Alma 5:26
And now behold, I say unto you, my brethren, if ye have experienced a change of heart, and if ye have felt to sing the song of redeeming love, I would ask, can ye feel so now?

Love,
Sister Jensen
