Choose The Savior

Hello, and welcome back to the vlogs. Just kidding, but actually. These emails are starting to look a lot like my journals haha, but that is a good thing right? You all signed up for it, so here goes another week! I came to the scary realization this week that I am getting towards the end of my mission! Absolutely not! I also realized a long time ago that I never want to not be a missionary! Literally ever! Every day is a new adventure, and it's fun waking up, and expecting one thing, and then something completely different and unexpected happens! I LOVE IT!

Anyways, enough of my rambling, let's get to the good stuff that you all have been waiting for:)

Because we are the digital media specialists in the mission, we get to go around the mission recording missionaries, and other people! We recorded the new missionaries that came into the mission! It was crazy! It felt like I was right where they were like last week! I guess you could say it's been a little longer than a week! After we did that, we headed up to Royal Palm Beach, which was my old area! It was weird to be back! But we recorded another music video for the Find His Light In South Florida facebook page, so keep your eyes peeled this week, because its going to be epic! I think "epic" is my new word, so I am apologizing in advance for using it so much!

Okay, we had a lesson with our friend Chigozie this week, and usually when we go to teach her, she is just wearing lounge clothes or pajamas, but not this time! She walked out of her house looking like she was ready to take on the red carpet, and go to a movie premier! She had on a long dress with a train on the back, heels, and she had her hair all done up! She is probably one of my favorite humans on this planet! You'll see why in the pictures we took! (they are not the best, but it's what we got)

Oh my goodness, ALSO we put our friend Bobby on Baptismal date this week! LETS GOOOO! We weren't planning on doing that, but the spirit said otherwise. "When in doubt, listen to the spirit."- sister Beckford it's so true! You will never fail, if you listen to the spirit! Sorry this email is so scatter-brained but we also went to this big apartment complex and heart attacked all of the doors because everyone had an eviction notice, and we thought they needed a little bit of Jesus in their day to make them smile! So on that note, "when in doubt, share a little bit of Jesus." But it was a partaaayyy and a half because it started pouring rain right as we started! Satan! Just kidding, but the rain here is just different. It's hot rain, and it only rains for an hour, and then it's sunshine and rainbows again lol. Gotta love Florida:)

This week's invitation from our Prophet to study the events leading up to the Savior's Resurrection was probably my favorite thing I've studied! Jesus Christ lives, and I know it because He is in every detail of my life, and of the lives of our friends that we are teaching. There was a quote from my study this week that I have to share with you of course.

"As a reminder of those days, Jesus has chosen, even in a resurrected, otherwise perfected body, to retain for the benefit of His disciples the wounds in His hands and in His feet and in His side- signs, if you will, that painful things happen even to the pure and the perfect; signs, if you will, that pain in this world is not evidence that God doesn't love you; signs, if you will, that problems pass and happiness can be ours. Remind others that it is the wounded Christ who is the Captain of our souls, He who yet bears the scars of our forgiveness, the lesions of His love and humility, the torn flesh of obedience and sacrifice."- Jeffrey R. Holland

This email is already way too long, so I'll just leave it at that!

Love,
Sister Jensen
