Hollywood has gone rogue!!
This week has been one for the books, I'll just say that!!! I hope everyone had a miracle filled week because this week was jammed packed, so let's get to it! (insert transition here)
♡Here are the highlights!!♡
- we met Teresa. She was an online self-referral and we just decided one night that we should go stop by! She swings the door open, and is just the cutest old lady with bright blue eyeshadow, and in her fuzzy, pink Victoria's secret slippers! The first thing she says is, "My sisters!!!!! Aaaahhhh! Let's pray, let's pray!!" She grabbed our hands and just started praying lol and then she told us she needed to give us some loves, so she just started hugging us, and then told us that she is adopting us now, so we need to call her momma bear! hahaha we love her! so of course we took a picture with her lol. You'll see.
- some random lady told us that we were prettier than Jennifer Anniston. lol well thank you!! I just love life
- President Pingree got a "check your speed" on our mission miracle call haha
- we had the best mission devotional about chastity! Basically you all need to go read Elder Holland's talk called Personal Purity! It is so awesome, and he basically just spits fire the whole time lol, but he talks about how our bodies and our spirits are united and when we exploit our bodies, we are exploiting our spirits which is disrespectful to our Savior and His atoning sacrifice! Because he died for the souls of all mankind! It's just crazy! I can't say it best, so you just have to read it!
- we followed the secret service all the way home, and then they turned right before our house, so we didn't get to see if Usher was inside the car!
- we cleaned out our house and oh my goodness!!! Why do missionaries just hoard so much stuff lol, sooooo we dumped it! It was the best feeling everrrr!!!
- Sister Salas picked fresh mangoes off of her mango tree and gave them to us!! I am not exaggerating when I say that these are THE BEST MANGOES IN THE WORLD! and then a couple days earlier, there were fresh mangoes just laying in the street, so I jumped out the car and grabbed some, and we took them home! haha I guess you could say we've gone rogue!
Those are the highlights that I remember, but I learned so many things this week! It surprises me every time, but I can learn something different from the scriptures every time I read it! I'm pretty sure I've read 1 Nephi chapter 1 about 100 times in my life, and EVERY SINGLE TIME something new stands out! The more you read, the more knowledge you obtain! I was reading in Alma 44 this week about Captain Moroni, and something that I loved is that Captain Moroni expected blessings from the Lord because he knew he was doing everything he could. We have the privilege of expecting blessings from the Lord, but only if we are doing everything we can do in return! I know that this is God's work, and that Jesus Christ is the head of this church! And I know that you CANNOT do anything unless you love the Savior! Christ knows us by name, and He never forgets you!❤️❤️
Love,
Sister Jensen
