"Get your fork Sister."

Have I mentioned before that I LOVE being a missionary!!! I was thinking this week about how we as missionaries see the most out of pocket things haha! And we had some tender experiences this week lol, so let's get to it!

First off, Charles FINALLY went to the temple for the first time this week!!! YAYYY! I don't know if I explained it before, but right after he was baptized, we were teaching him about baptisms for the dead in the temple, and he went online and searched it on google... first mistake. And he got a little scared off! But we have been praying a lot that he would start to grow a stronger testimony, and now he's back! Prayer works, and God is in the details! I was reading in 3 Nephi this week, and something that stood out to me as Christ was teaching the Nephites was that Jesus had to descend below all things before he could ascend above them! That is definitely something that is useful for me, and can be for everyone today! We have to be cut down before we can grow!!! Okay, I did indeed get a little sidetracked there haha but anyways back to the story of Charles at the temple... He was baptizing, and as many of you know, he is hard of hearing, and the temple is very quiet, but Charles is not a quiet guy. He kept saying "Christ Jesus" in the baptism, and had to start over and over again! He kept his cool though, and by the end he was so happy just skipping around the temple! He had the biggest smile on his face, and it will forever be ingrained in my memory!!

Also, we were visiting a cute old lady this week, Anna, and her grandson was just the cutest 7 year old I have ever met! He is going to the olympics one day because we were in the middle of talking to him, and he just breaks out into the middle splits haha! He was doing the splits the whole time we were there! Why are little kids the most flexible??? Not fair. lololol But anyways, he drew self-portraits for sister Stevens and I, and they are pretty accurate. (see picture below)

The other cool miracle of the week was meeting Jinsley! There's not too much to say except for the fact that he is ELECT! We taught him about the restoration, and the Book of Mormon, and by the end of our lesson he was quite literally giddy!!! Like you could physically see his spirit was happy! Oh the joys of the gospel! I'm telling you my guy! He then proceeded to teach us the plan of salvation, and was all hyped up about the spirit world! Love him.

Some other random things:
- Sister Stevens fell... again
- someone tooted in church right behind us
- we filmed a creole music video in MIAMI!! So you know it was good!
- we got a new car, and named him Chuck lol
- we went to the cheesecake factory, and sister Stevens was just too excited to eat her cheesecake... we were just naturally talking about the seventh seal, and she stops everyone, grabs the cheesecake, slams it down on the table, and says, "get your fork sister!" She just said it so naturally, and I know that was so anti-climatic, but it was so funny. You had to be there lol I love her haha

Just remember this,
"During His mortal lifeChrist chose to experience pains and afflictions in order to understand us. Perhaps we also need to experience the depths of mortality in order to understand Him and our eternal purposes."

Love,
Sister Jensen
