"What time the baptism will be?"

Hello! Happy Monday! Some weeks on the mission feel like seconds, and the days feel like years. Well this week was one of those weeks. Let me tell ya.

I feel like we had to go film everyone and their moms this week! The camera was constantly charging, and we were constantly on the go! Every day! But there are perks to being able to travel around the whole mission! One example is that we get to eat the food in different places! drumroll please... WE WENT TO RAISING CANE'S!!! We have been dreaming of a raising cane's 3 piece chicken strip basket for a while now! And God answered our prayers. He is just too good to us haha.

Okay, also... We started teaching this person named Omar... He sent in a referral a while ago, and wasn't responding, and then just out of the blue on Friday he texted us and asked if we baptize, and said he wants to be baptized. That's literally all he said. Nothing else. Yes, we do in fact help people get baptized Omar. We showed up at his house, and ended up standing outside the door for 15 minutes... He knew we were there. We literally called him and texted him, and we was answering. He opens the door, and the first thought of mine was the first thing that came out of Sister Stevens mouth, "How old are you?" Now he looked 12, but supposedly, he is 21. So yeah, basically the same thing. We had a little lesson with him, and then 30 minutes after we left he texted us, "What time the baptism will be?" Oh Omar. You tell me sir. You tell me.

On that same day, we met with our cute friend Jose! He's this 80 year old man who we thought was so elect. When he comes out, he has a littel pasta noodle sticking to his pants, and tells us he has bad news for us. Well Great! "I-I-I don't want to be a Mormon..." Oh word!.!.. Yeah me neither Jose. He gave us back the Book of Mormon we gave him and said he's been doing a little research... it gets better. He said that we believe Joseph Smith is being reincarnated into the prophets we have in our church... almost! You almost got it Jose. lol we testified very boldly, and then Sister Stevens gave back the Book of Mormon, and we left. It was quite the adventure.

Also, the elders in our district gave us some bubbles, and we blew them up in our house, and they are unpoppable bubbles, so they stuck all over the floor for a while. Good times.

This week was a humbling week for me in a lot of different ways. Something that I thought was so cool that dawned on me is that God is trusting all of us, His disciples, to prepare the world for the second coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ! How cool is that?!?! I know that we cannot do anything without the Lord. Christ was a teacher, but He was also teachable, and that is such an amazing quality to have! I want it too!!

I do feel like the pictures that I put in my emails tell the story of the week better than I could write it, so refer to those if you are confused.

Love,
Sister Jensen
