"Please don't let it be the boys from the Eglise!"

Heyo! Welcome back to another week of the life of Sister Jensen. Feel like so many things happened this week, and at the same time nothing super crazy happened lol so here goes nothing.

We started teaching the cutest kids Bradley and Yelrihs! I don't remember if I mentioned them in an email before, but we went over to their house to teach them and decided to bring their favorite candy! Bradley's is blow-pops, and Yelrihs is cookies and cream hersheys. Well anyways, they are two tough cookies for sure. They had question after question, and it took a lot of patience lol but they pinky promised us they would pray about baptism! So we are super excited for them! But then... the funniest thing happened... someone knocked on the door, and the first thing that Bradley says is, "Oh please, oh please don't let it be the boys from the Eglise!" Let me give you some context: Eglise means Church in creole, and the boys he is referring to is the elders that used to teach him in our ward hahahaha. he must have PTSD or something lol but it was so funny. It was in fact not the boys from the Eglise at the door so we were safe.

Sister Stevens and I must be going crazy or something because we have been finding ourselves talking in british accents like all week and coming up with things that they might say in England haha one of them being "bump my fist sister." It must be because our technology advisor person that we meet with every week from Salt Lake is british and always says the strangest of things lol

Also, this cute little boy Abraham that we saw a couple weeks ago picked us pretty flowers and blueberries to eat while we talked with his grandma! You'll see in the picture below:) Oh and, I guess you could call me a portuguese sister now lol because I made it on the Portuguese facebook page hahaha. "check this out mom!" (every little kid ever)

One of my goals for the longest of time has been to learn something new or to just have my testimony strengthened because of my personal study that day! Well I feel like this week I learned SO MUCH, so I want to share with you what I learned! Call me a nerd, but I was just enthralled in the scriptures this week, and I just couldn't stop reading. First off, if all you know is that God loves you, that is enough. Sometimes as humans we tend to get down on ourselves because of comparison or because satan creeps in and tells us we are not good enough or we don't know enough! It's not true! say, not today satan! God's love is perfect, and He is understanding. We also think sometimes that God hides himself from us, when in reality, we are the ones hiding from Him. Our friend Marie pointed that out to us this week when we were visiting her. She kept asking why God was hiding from her, and that she has tried everything to get Him to listen to her. He is listening to you! He always does! And sometimes The Lord's delays often seem long, some even last a lifetime, but they are always calculated to bless!

I know that Christ lives. I know that Jesus Christ is the head of His church. ANd I know that God is our loving Heavenly Father who wants nothing more than for us to live with Him again one day.

Love,
Sister Jensen
