“I Have Brown Sugar in My Toes!”

 This week was full of so many things! But here is the BIGGEST NEWS!! JOSEPH IS GETTING BAPTIZED ON OCTOBER 7TH!!! I don't know if any of you remember me mentioning him last week, but he is the definition of ELECT! Seriously! You are probably thinking to yourself, "wow, she says that about a lot of people!" But this time I am actually serious hahahaha let me tell you! So! Every single time we meet, he is always one step ahead of us! The day we asked him to be baptized, everything was going crazy! Satan was trying to stop it from happening! Our phones died and it was over zoom, but we had just enough to make it 45 minutes! Okay, my brain is currently not working, haha so I'm just going to let you read the lesson review we made after our lesson...


"JOSEPH IS GETTING BAPTIZED! He is the definition of an ELECT man from God! Seriously! THE coolest! So basically he is in 1 Nephi 12 and he wants to be done with it by tonight!!!!! He said that he completely forgot to pray specifically for Joseph Smith because after our lesson yesterday he left so edified and uplifted that he just wanted to read the Book of Mormon all day! So he did! We taught the gospel of Jesus Christ and he shared with us the experiences he has had growing up and how God really led him to where he is at right now! He said he knows he is in the right place because after every chapter in the BoM he prays to know it's true and he just feels so excited and happy! He said the sky was so much brighter since he started meeting with us!! AAAAHHHHH anyways so we asked him to be baptized on October 7th and he was SO EXCITED!!!! We were holding back our screams because he had THE biggest smile on his face! He said he feels honored to have a date already picked out and he knows! Every time we have met he said the church building had a light about it and just felt the warmth coming from it! Everything he says is perfect and He said he was BEYOND excited to continue learning more after he was baptized! I CANT EVEN WAIT! My happiness level has shot through the roof! And get this!!! We were the first missionaries to speak to him, and he is just ready! God has been preparing him for who knows how long!"

Soooo yeah! He is the best person ever! He told us that after every time he reads the book of Mormon, which is every day, he prays to know if it's true and he gets a confirming feeling of peace! I wish every single person we taught was like him!

Moving on because I was fan girling lol we spent an evening with Sister Dumulin... she is a cute older lady that wanted to celebrate her birthday with the missionaries! She gave us the task of making her lemonade haha well.... this lemonade had no lemons in it and instead just straight lime juice, brown sugar, and water... and we may have spilt a little lol 

Okay and get this! We are starting to volunteer at the most beautiful botanical garden I have ever been to or seen! And it gets better... we will be in the butterfly exhibit so you know that my heart is literally going to burst the second I see one lol

Side note... we had so many black beans. We had a dinner appointment every day and every member fed us black beans and rice lol I love my black beans, but I dont when all the liquid spills out of the plastic bag on the front porch and you got locked out of the house so you are getting attacked by mosquitos and ants haha these really are the days never to be forgotten lol

And last, but certainly not least, it was my last zone conference this week:( the main focus for it was finding the one! And we definitely went out there and found the one! I also think it's amazing how no matter what is happening, if you keep the commandments, THE LORD WILL PROVIDE! He asks us for so little, and in return He gives us everything and more! Okay I am almost done haha but I was pondering this week about questions and what the difference is between pondering and questioning! In my mind, questioning leads to doubting, but the Lord has told us to look to Him in every thought, and to doubt not or fear not! Spend time on the primary questions, and the primary answers! God is perfect, and therefore His creations are perfect and they are the miracle! We are walking miracles!

Elder Morrison said what??!

  Woa Guan Man! (That is how they say good morning in Jamaica!) Our friend Antonio taught us that the first time we went to see him haha! I just have to say, I love people. Chia pets, and shattered glass!!

  Hola mis amigos! Another transfer; GONE! I'm staying in Boynton Beach with Sister Anderson:) Time is just flying! I am so grateful to be a missionary! Seriously, I wouldn't have it any other way:) Okay let's get to what all of yall actually want to hear haha!  We have been teaching this super cool guy, Adam. There's a couple things you need to know about Adam: he has no concept of time, he wants to be baptized, and he has a lot of girl problems lol. He is always asking us for relationship advice... like of all people he asks the 2 girls who can't even have relationships haha anyways we just sit and listen. But he really does want to be baptized, so we are working with him to achieve that goal! We made a deal with him that if he doesn't smoke for one week, we will quit sugar. That one didn't last very long. I'm not going to say who cracked first, but let's just say we had ice cream last night haha.  Now for the crazy. Because you know I can't go...

Dori said to "Just keep swimming," so that's what I did...

  Oh-M-Goodness! If I could put every emotion into one week, this would be the week. I'm not even kidding. We cried, we laughed, we died, we "swam", we sang, we were happy, and we were sad. Everything in one:) "BREAKING NEWS, 2 SISTER MISSIONARIES STRANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE AMAZON FLORIDA JUNGLE" no im kidding. For starters, I have NEVER seen this much rain in my entire life. This week we had a literal downpour. It was basically raining cats and dogs! I think we had 29 inches of water, and honestly, we probably had more than that. We were heading back home from our tech council, and we got stuck on this one street that was backed up for days because it was flooded! Every time a car would pass us, our car would lift off the ground a little bit because the waves! We were driving through the ocean.
